£200-250

£78.40 Oyster travel card zones 1-2 / £112.20 zones 1-4

Banking

While studying in the UK it is advisable to open a British bank account.  In order that you may open an account, once you are enrolled we shall provide you with a letter to confirm to the bank your address and that you are a student at Amity University in London.  Should you have any problems, our administrative staff will be able to advise you.

Health Care

All full-time students studying in the UK for more than six months are covered by the NHS (National Health Service) which is free of charge.   Your spouse or civil partner, and children (under the age of 16, or 19 if in further education) are also covered if they are living permanently with you in the UK for the duration of your course.

If your course lasts less than six months and your country of origin has no bilateral health care agreement with the UK, you will need to take out private health insurance to cover the cost of any treatment.  For a full list of countries with bilateral healthcare agreements please see the Department of Health website (www.dh.gov.uk).
